Trip to Wyoming

I've packed everything that I can think of {I'm a 'just in case' packer...I've got extra outfits, extra underwear, camera, extra batteries, blankets, dog food, flashlight, toothbrushes, tampons, shoes, lots of Christmas presents, books, makeup, scarves and winter clothes, brownies, crafting supplies, lotion, candy and my knitting ...I've made treats for the car. I'm dressed and ready for the day. Shuga is all packed and had her harness on... So now I'm listening to Guns N' Roses and I'm waiting for Colter to get done with school for the day. {best friends little bro that's making the trip home with us} For Scott to get home from work so he can pack the car {he gets OCD about how we pack it} and I'm waiting for Ryan to get done with work. I can't wait to go home :) Shuga has been funny all morning she know something is up. She's been hiding and then waiting by the door shaking. I packed some of her stuff yesterday and as I'd put it in the bag she would get in the bag and pull it right back out and then look at me like what do you think you're doing with my stuff haha she's so silly. I think we're all but ready to go! Lot's of pictures to come! Happy Thanksgiving ya'll

I can't wait to go home! I can't wait to hug my mom or snuggle my sisters!! I can't wait to breath frigid mountain air! I miss the mountains and the way the wind whistles through the snow crusted trees. I need worn our two lane highways that lead home and back. I need frosted window panes that glow with the warmth of love. I yearn for snowy fields. For a babbling brook. For familiar soft faces and kind hands.
I'm sick of traffic and cars as far as I can see. I'm tired of too many people, strangers with tired eyes. I need a few less city lights that choke out the night.
I want a break from the hustle of city living. From the labors of the day.
My heart needs to go home to rest and to find itself.

October, Halloween and such!!

I had my 21st birthday party this year :D I don't feel much older or cooler seeing as I don't drink. I had more of a birthday week this year thanks to my wonderful amazing handsome hardworking fun crazy partying loving hubs!! The Sunday before my birthday we had a family dinner and cake to kick off the week. Monday night we went to dinner at Red Robin's my favorite :) We ate lots of candy all week and ate out several more times! On my actual birthday he got me 2 dozen roses and some lilies. 2 dozen balloons and a box of 800 gum balls! Not to mention a beautiful pair of diamond earrings!! My awesome in laws got me a gum ball machine!! That night all of my brother and sister in laws and my mother and father in law and Scott and I went to Red Robin again lol to have work my amazing coworker Kayla made me an awesome birthday cupcake!!

This year I went to my first pumpkin patch! My wonderful in laws and Ryann and Jason and Scott and I made a day of it. We had so much fun! We picked out a few pumpkins and according to Scott took too many pictures ;) {never enough if you ask me} We then went to this town called Sumner to eat lunch at this little hole in the wall burger joint. In Sumner they have several antique shops that I've been dying to check out so we spent the rest of the afternoon antiquing :D {this is one of favorite kinds of shopping to do}

Hilarious items found while on the antique hunt!

Later in the week Maija, Nathan and sweet baby Emily along with Ryan and Cassie all came over to carve our pumpkins. We got our a few power tools and really made a night of it.

On halloween day we had a costume contest at work...and yours truly took first place and won a $50 prepaid visa gift card!! Can I get a Wooty woot!

Also this month thanks to my new obsession with pinterest I found this adorable cupcake idea :) loved the way that they turned out!!

Some days I just feel like I want to fast forward my life. I want to be older without looking or feeling older. I want babies and a big house with a big yard. I want to be a soccer mom and I want to have a truck and a mommy an escalade {they're luxury SUV's you know} I want to be an RN and work with kids and babies but I also want to be a mommy. I want Scott to have a career that he loves and that pays well. And I want it all now....

And then I snap out of it and realize just how blessed I am and how happy I am. Scott and I both have steady jobs. I have a beautiful car that I love and that works amazingly. I have some of my college education under my belt. I've got shoes on my feet and dreams in my head.

I have the best husband in the world. Who loves me and supports me and encourages me to chase my dreams. He's been working full time and then some to help me pay for my new car, to pay for my schooling at two different colleges. Not to mention that he's been paying for books and uniforms and emergency candy runs {to Winco bulk candy bins} to keep me sane. He lets me practice taking his blood pressure. He lets me whine and complain to him. He scratches my back. He does the laundry. He always gives me kisses....and He leaves the toilet seat up...but that's life....He puts up with Shuga and I when we are brats. He loves me crazy! He loves me sweet and he never gives up on me..I know that the Lord made me hard to handle....but Scott does such a great job..

I am so very blessed beyond measure.

I finally feel like I'm growing up...well as much as I can grow up...I'll never really be "grown up" grow up cause that's for the birds! But in a sense I finally feel content, I finally feel like I don't have anything to prove. I finally feel like I don't have anything to run from. {I hope that I'm not asking for it or tempting karma by saying this next part... but}

I finally feel at peace.

God truly does have His hand in our lives. I know that when we submit our will to His that he directs our paths.
The other night Scott and I were chillin' he mentioned a job posting that he had "randomly" seen on craigslist. So I got on and checked it out. The facility is about three minutes down the road from where we're living. I had gone in once and gotten an application from them and instead of staying and filling it out I had brought it home and never got to it. So I went upstairs and found the application. I filled it out and promised Scott that I would call first thing in the morning. I called and they were still hiring and they told me to come in and fill out an application. I went in to hand in my application and they interviewed me! They told me that really liked me and felt good about it and that they were leaning towards a "yes" they said they'd give me a call in a few hours...a few hours passed and no phone call. So I called them back the next morning and they told me to come in for orientation. {I GOT THE JOB} That was on Friday afternoon. I then work/got trained for 9 hours on Saturday and then for 8 hours on Sunday and then again on Monday for 7 hours and then yesterday {Tuesday} for 7 more hours. It's been super crazy but so far so good... I work with really laid back people and I'm getting good experience.
Today is my day off because I have class, instead of sleeping in I thought that I would make some calls and check out Nursing programs in the area. I had sent an Official Transcript to the Tech school that I really want to go to a few weeks ago. I still hadn't heard anything so I called this morning and they looked around and found my transcript {hold on to your pants for this part} and they are going to accept all of my classes/credits that I did at BYU-Idaho. {this is very unheard of from my previous experiences} So I'm right on track. As soon as I finish the Biology class that I'm taking...{I'll be done Oct. 3rd} then I can apply and get on their 1 year waiting list WOOT WOOT!
Life is good
God is good
We are so blessed!

I love girls camp!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! and so I volunteered to go as a tent mom and boy oh boy did I love going as a leader! I had the best group of girls and I met the best ladies ever! I have some new BFF's Jodi and Jaimee :) While at camp I also dropped my cell phone in the porta potty {epic fail} or should I say fall : ( I didn't even hesitate and I reached in and grabbed it out!!! Getting pooh on my hands in the process YUCK It's been sitting in a bag of rice for the last several's trying to work and not doing so hot...I'm hoping to figure something out with insurance and get a new one!! Or the new iphone {in white} anywho. Camp was an amazing experience and I loved every minute of it. We had so much fun and we did so many awesome things! I supervised the rifle range {single shot .22} and the slip n' slide which was legit! It was huge and I haven't been on one since I was like 10. We also took all of the second year girls on a 5 mile hike it was a really hard hike and there were a lot of awesome views! Over all camp was amazing! The girls that were there were just so strong in their faith and had such powerful testimonies and they strengthened me I loved going to ensign ranch it's such a beautiful place!I had such an amazing time and I hope that they call me to go again next year, even though all week everyone just thought that I was one of the girls lol

My two week summer break is over!

As of yesterday my summer vacation was over :( I started an Anatomy & Psychology class and come to find out it was the wrong one....and not only was it the wrong one but I thought that the class was Monday and Thursday. Nope it was Monday through Thursday. So...this morning I went back up the Joint Fort Lewis Forth McCord base {that's were I'm attending classes through Pierce College} and dropped my one class and added the one that I really needed. I was really stressed out last night thinking about school and money and everything and I just kept praying that everything would work out and it did and does and continues to. I know that Scott and I are blessed beyond measure and that the Lord has His hand in our lives. I know that school and an education are so very important and that it's a righteous desire and that the Lord will continue to bless me in my educational pursuits.
This is where I'm going to school...

Last weekend Scott and I packed up the car and headed to Montana for a surprise family reunion for my Grandma Robbins. It was so much fun! We were able to see all of my uncles and my aunt on my Dads side. Some of them I haven't seen in the last 5 years and so it was great to be able to all be together if only for a few days.
I haven't been to Montana in the last two or three years...the last time I was there we were putting the headstone on my Grandpa Wessel's grave. It was so good to be back and I just felt like I was home! I love the Bitteroot Valley!
We stayed with my mom and dad at my Grandma Wessel's house for the weekend. And man I've really missed my family! We all had so much fun. We took family pictures, went to the lake had several cookouts and just hung out and talked!
Now don't judge my poor photo quality! I forgot my camera in Washington {boo}So these were all taken on my phone...

My Grandma Wessel's house...the most magical place in the world. As a child her house and yard were a wonderland for me. I spent my summers here all growing up, from the time I was about 7 until I was 16

This is Quinn and Megan and yes this is how they look majority of the time hahah

Me waving at Scott and Seth and Michael. They had just come back from shooting

Making smores with Faith and my beautiful cousins

Shuga all partied out! She got chased and hauled around all weekend by my young cousins who just knew she loved them

My adorable cousin Madison and I...She was stuck to me like glue all weekend! She is hilarious! She is 6 now and I don't know where the years have gone! When I saw her I was like "Madison how old are you now?" Her reply "why I'm 6 years old" ME..."when on earth did you get to be 6?" Her "Well February 2nd of course" hahaha

These were some really cool chairs that Sonja and Bill had at there house...

Most of these pictures were takin at my aunt and uncles house...I have more pictures from the lake but they're on Scott's phone so I'll have to post them later!
