“The only real failure in life is the failure to try.”

Well...{big gulps}I went to talk to the head of the nursing program and he was a total jerk...

Here's how our entire conversation went, which lasted all of 5 minutes.

HIM: So your in the CNA program
ME: yes sir
HIM: Sooo...why are you here to see me?
ME: I was wondering if we could review my prerequisites to make sure I'm on track to apply for your schools LPN program
HIM: Uh..ok I guess, take a seat and show me your transcripts
{at this point I took out my transcript from BYU-Idaho}
HIM: BYU-Idaho?
ME: Yes sir
HIM: Never heard of it...
HIM: well from what I can tell none of this classes will work for any of the prerequisites
ME: oh {stunned silence}
HIM: Here is a list of all of our "NEW" prerequisites they have to be completed before you can apply for the program
ME: oh,ok thanks
HIM: Well,come back and see me when you have those done if your still interested..you may see yourself out

Not only was I totally upset, I was also totally shocked at how unprofessional he was.I walked down the hall to the bathroom and locked myself in a stall thinking I might cried but I guess I was just too shocked and nothing came out...so I called my mom. I'm ok and I've started to look into different programs in the area. I've found one that is closer to where I live and they have a lot less prerequisites. Bates "NEW" prerequisites list includes; microbiology, a statistics math class, inorganic and organic chemistry, and psychology 200 not to mention anatomy physiology classes with a lab but also several English classes.

I know that what's meant to be will find a way and that something will work out. The Lord has a plan for me,I just need to figure it out and try again...

Zumba on the Wii

I have made a new goal to eat healthier and workout more and so I can look great for the summer and feel great too!!! I love doing my Zumba dance workout on the Wii. It gets me going for the day and makes me sweat like a crazy person. It also gives me the energy I need to make it through the day!! I've found a healthy eating plan and I'm working out 4-5 days a week and so I've bought myself a little reward! {Scott doesn't know about it yet}I got this tankini top which comes in "LONG" for those of you whole know me you know that I really struggle with finding one pieces and tankini's that are long enough to cover my long torso
and these adorable skirted bottoms!! Which will cover my bum :) They were on clearance at Vickies! {Someone please take my Victoria's Secret credit card away!} He he

Fathers Day...

Well, like Mothers Day, this Fathers Day was the first that I have spent hundreds of miles away from my Daddy. It was all rather bitter sweet. Sending a card and a gift via the mail just isn't the same as being there. I will admit that I had a few tears but over all I made it through the day. Washington if wonderful! Scott and I are so very blessed. I love my CNA classes {I don't love my online classes} I'm very nervous/very excited about what my educational future might hold! A little update on me...I found out that the nursing program that I want to attend just upped all of their requirements/prerequisites. And by "just" I mean just barley as of like this quarter. So it's kind of a bum deal. I may end up having to retake my anatomy and physiology class and then get on a waiting list that they "say" is 2 years long...Nothing is set in stone and I have an appointment to go talk to the department chairman that is over the board of nursing and see if he won't wave my poor grade because of a lot of technical reasons and because my CNA teacher told me to go talk to him...any who if He'll approve me then I could start nursing classes as soon as September and no later then February. and if he doesn't :( well then I'm not sure what I'll do. {long story short} please please please send your prayers my way! Update on Scott. Scott is working {a lot} an average of 6 days a week. He doesn't like his job but I just keep praying that that will encourages him to think more about school and to make a decision about what he wants to do with his life. Shuga update...Friday she got spayed and was not impressed with her mommy taking her to the vet and abandoning her...she is doing great though and saturday morning she was acting like nothing had even happened. Running down the stairs jumping on and off of all of the furniture and racing around outside. I tried for the good part of the morning to make her stop and slow down and it was to no avail so I gave up and figure that if it hurt she wouldn't do it....anyways that's our little gray family update....maybe we'll do something interesting soon and post some pictures and tell some interesting stories...{LOVES}

Goals...

I have been thinking a lot as of late about goals and plans and dreams for the future. Before I ever met Scott I had a five year plan, and lets just say that he quickly changed that. So I figured that it was time to make my new five year plan...where do I want to be in five years? What do I want to have accomplished? When I'm old (25) what do I want to have done with my life up to that point? Well I made a list....and I figured that if I put it on my blog that maybe it could help me to commit to these goals so here they are...

Five year plan (age of 25)
---------------------------------
-Get accepted and finish LPN and RN school/programs
-Be out of my In-Laws house (this better happen in the next year!)
-Be out of dept
-Train for and run a marathon
-Have my new car paid off
-Travel to a several different countries
-Start our family
-have a house
-have money in savings

So far that's it...
