Life is a Journey....lately I haven't been finding much joy in my journey. I've been so busy that I hardly slow down to enjoy all of the things that I'm doing to fill my schedule. I feel like I rush from one activity or task to the next with little time in between to actually think about or enjoy what I'm doing. After I got home from my wonderful trip to Wyoming...(Post about my trip to come) I somewhat felt let down. Depressed to be back to the daily grind of my life. A large part of that sadness comes from being homesick and from dearly missing my family. But I think that another part of it came from missing the simplicity of family life in Wyoming.
Starting today I am going to simplify. Cut back of the daily and weekly activities that keep me busy but that take me away from happiness. I need happiness and when I'm not happy I'm afraid that Scott isn't happy. So here's to simplifying and therefore finding more peace and happiness!
“If you want happiness for an hour – take a nap. If you want
happiness for a day – go fishing. If you want happiness for a month –
get married. If you want happiness for a year – inherit a fortune. If
you want happiness for a lifetime – help someone else.” – Chinese
Proverb
